## Biography

Melissa Blake is an American television writer and producer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University. After working in post-production, she joined Renaissance Pictures as an executive assistant and began writing for its syndicated series, including episodes of *Xena: Warrior Princess*, *Cleopatra 2525* and *Jack of All Trades*.

She has collaborated with her sister, writer Joy Blake, on several series. Their joint credits include *Kevin Hill*, *Night Stalker*, *Heroes*, *Ghost Whisperer* and *Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior*. Blake has also written for *Sleepy Hollow*, *Wicked City*, *One Mississippi*, *October Faction* and *The Wilds*, and served as a producer on multiple programmes.

In 2011 she began teaching in the graduate screenwriting and television producing programmes at Loyola Marymount University. She was previously married to producer Roberto Orci.
