## Biography

Melissa Kirkendall is a producer and filmmaker. She began working in film and television productions in 2002 after a career owning live music venues in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. In 2012 she directed and produced the feature documentary *Teen A Go Go* about the 1960s garage rock scene.

Her producing credits include the 2017 ESPN 30 for 30 documentary *What Carter Lost*, the 2019 science-fiction film *The Vast of Night* (on which she also served as unit production manager), the 2021 action film *Castle Falls* as line producer, and the 2023 comedy-drama *Accidental Texan*. She has also directed and produced short documentaries, including the award-winning *You Are Me & I Am You* (2021). She is the founder of Little Village, Big Mountain.
