## Biography

Meta Rosenberg was an American television producer, talent agent, writer and director. Born Meta Arenson in San Francisco, she was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Hollywood High School at the age of 15. She began her career as a story editor at studios including 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures before becoming head of the literary department at the Berg-Allenberg talent agency.

In the 1960s she worked as a talent agent, representing actors such as James Garner and Robert Redford. She later became a partner in Garner's production company Cherokee Productions. Rosenberg served as executive producer on the series *The Rockford Files* (1974–1980), for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 1978; she also directed six episodes. Other credits include *Nichols* (1971), *Bret Maverick* (1981) and the television film *Off the Minnesota Strip* (1980).
