## Biography

Michael Alan Brierley is a cinematographer. He began working in the camera department in 1984 as a camera assistant, later becoming a camera operator on feature films, and established himself as a director of photography in the mid-1990s.

Brierley has photographed more than 600 commercials. His feature and television credits include episodes of the series *ER* (2006), *Spring Break Shark Attack* (2005), *Yesterday* (2004), *Prey* (2007) and *City of Life* (2009). He has also served as second unit director on the series *Knightfall* (2019).

He lives outside Prague in the Czech Republic and is a member of the South African Society of Cinematographers.
