He played Chrissie Todd in the BBC drama series *Boys from the Blackstuff* (1982) and Martin Niarchos in *G.B.H.* (1991). He trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Angelis appeared in other television roles including in *The Liver Birds* and as a villain in the revived series *Auf Wiedersehen, Pet* (2002).
