Michael Berlin is a television writer, also credited as Mike Berlin. His first script to reach air was the 1987 episode "Cuba Libre" of *Miami Vice*, co-written with Eric Estrin.

Before entering television writing, Berlin spent ten years as a psychologist in New York, working at Rikers Island jail complex and Bellevue Hospital Center. He has written episodes for series including *Kaz* (1978), *Cagney & Lacey*, *Hunter*, *Missing Persons* (on which he also served as producer and co-producer), *Diagnosis: Murder*, *Hercules: The Legendary Journeys*, *Earth 2*, *Earth: Final Conflict* and *Silk Stalkings*.
