Michael Carlin is an Australian production designer. He began working in film in the early 1990s, with credits including art direction on *Backbeat* (1994).

Carlin has designed productions including *What a Girl Wants* (2003), *The Last King of Scotland* (2006), *Mr. Bean's Holiday* (2007), *In Bruges* (2008), *The Duchess* (2008), *Enola Holmes* (2020) and *Enola Holmes 2* (2022). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Art Direction for *The Duchess*, shared with set decorator Rebecca Alleway.
