Michael D. Xavier is an English actor and singer. He trained at Manchester Metropolitan University and began his professional career with a West End debut in the musical *Pageant* in 2000. He is a two-time Laurence Olivier Award nominee for his stage performances, including in *Into the Woods*, and has appeared in leading roles in West End and Broadway productions such as *Sunset Boulevard*.

Xavier has appeared in television series including *Outlander* (2020) as Lieutenant Hamilton Knox, *Gentleman Jack* (2019–2022) as Dr Steph Belcombe, *The Blacklist* (2019) as Christopher Miles, *Grace* (2021) as Martin Broom, *The Chelsea Detective* (2022) as Patrick Thompson, and *Grantchester* (2022–2023) as DCI Elliott Wallace.
