Michael Dowse is a Canadian film director, writer and producer. Born on 19 April 1973 in London, Ontario, he was trained as a film editor.

His early feature *FUBAR* (2002) premiered at Sundance. Subsequent films include *It's All Gone Pete Tong* (2004), *Goon* (2011), *What If* (2013), *Stuber* (2019) and *8-Bit Christmas* (2021). He has also directed episodes of television series such as *Preacher* and *Man Seeking Woman*.

Dowse wrote, directed and produced *The Stunt Driver* (2026), a historical comedy based on the life of stuntman Ken Carter.
