Michael David Fields is an American film and television director. He graduated from Wesleyan University.

Fields directed the 1990 feature film *Bright Angel* and the 1985 television adaptation of *Noon Wine* for the PBS series *American Playhouse*. He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including *The Shield* (2002), *Veronica Mars* (2004), *Gossip Girl* (2007), *Sex and the City* (1998), *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999), *iZombie* (2015), *Roswell* (1999) and *Dawson's Creek* (1998).
