Michael Gothard was an English actor. Born on 24 June 1939 in London, he died on 2 December 1992 in Hampstead, London.

He is known for his role as Emile Leopold Locque in the 1981 film *For Your Eyes Only* and as Father Pierre Barre in the 1971 film *The Devils*. He also played Kai in the television series *Arthur of the Britons*.

Gothard made his feature film debut in *Herostratus* (1967).
