Michael Gwynn (30 November 1916 – 29 January 1976) was an English actor. Born in Bath, Somerset, he attended Mayfield College near Mayfield, East Sussex. During the Second World War he served in East Africa as a major and adjutant to the 2nd (Nyasaland) Battalion of the King's African Rifles. His screen career began in the mid-1950s and continued until his death.

Gwynn appeared in numerous films, including *Village of the Damned* (1960) as Alan Bernard, *The Revenge of Frankenstein* (1958) as Karl, *Cleopatra* (1963) as Cimber, *Jason and the Argonauts* (1963) as Hermes, and *Scars of Dracula* (1970) as the Priest. On television he is known for the role of Lord Melbury in the first episode of the BBC series *Fawlty Towers* (1975). He also recorded roles for Caedmon Records adaptations of plays such as *Cyrano de Bergerac* (as Le Bret) and *Julius Caesar* (as Casca).
