Michael McManus is an American actor, writer and producer. Born on 26 January 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he began appearing in film and television in the mid-1970s.

His film roles include Ben Tuthill in *Poltergeist* (1982), Todd in *Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol* (1987) and parts in *Mother, Jugs & Speed* (1976), *Funland* (1987) and *Action Jackson* (1988). On television he has guest-starred in series including *Knight Rider*, *Married... with Children*, *Full House*, *Columbo*, *Saved by the Bell*, *Baywatch*, *The Six Million Dollar Man* and *The Golden Girls*. He was a series regular on the sitcom *Lewis & Clark* (1981–1982).

McManus has also worked as a writer and producer. He shared a Writers Guild of America Award in 1982 for the Steve Martin special *All Commercials... A Steve Martin Special*.
