## Biography

Michael Rosenbaum is an American actor and director. Born on 11 July 1972 in Oceanside, New York, he was raised in Newburgh, Indiana, and graduated with a degree in theatre arts from Western Kentucky University before moving to New York City to pursue acting.

He is best known for portraying Lex Luthor on the series *Smallville* (2001–2011), appearing in 153 episodes, and for directing the season-six episode 'Freak'. Rosenbaum received a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series in 2002 for the role. He has also appeared in films including *Urban Legend* (1998) and voiced characters in animated series such as *Justice League* and *Teen Titans*.

Other credits include Martinex in *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2* (2017) and *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3* (2023), and he hosts the podcast *Inside of You*.
