## Biography

Michael Rowe is an American television writer, producer and comedian. He began his career as a stand-up comic in New York before writing jokes for *Saturday Night Live*'s Weekend Update and sketches for various comedy programmes.

Rowe has written for live-action sitcoms including *Becker* (1998–2004), *The Nanny* (1993–1999) and *2 Broke Girls* (2011–2017), as well as animated series such as *Family Guy* (1999–), *Futurama* (1999–2013) and *Brickleberry* (2012–2013). On *Futurama* he contributed episodes including "Bend Her" and served as co-executive producer during the series' later seasons and films.

In 2011 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for his work on the *Futurama* episode "The Late Philip J. Fry".
