Michael Saikin is an American television writer. Born on 3 September 1981 in Longview, Texas, he began his career in animation as a production assistant on the *Futurama* direct-to-video films *Bender's Big Score* (2007), *The Beast with a Billion Backs* (2008), *Bender's Game* (2008) and *Into the Wild Green Yonder* (2009), and on season 5 of the series. He advanced to writing assistant for every episode of season 6.

Saikin received his first writing credit on *Futurama* for the segment 'The Pinta Island Tortoise' in the anthology episode 'Naturama' (2012). He later worked as additional crew on *Axe Cop* (2015) and *Golan the Insatiable* (2014). His most extensive writing role has been as staff writer on *Disenchantment* (2018), contributing to 30 episodes between 2021 and 2023 and writing three episodes himself. He has also written stories for Simpsons Comics.
