## Biography

Michael Schantz is an American stage and screen actor. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he studied Theatre Arts at Rollins College, trained at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, and earned an MFA in Acting from NYU’s Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts.

His screen credits include roles in the television series *The Blacklist* (2016–2021), *FBI* (2018–2025), *City on a Hill* (2022) and *Power Book III: Raising Kanan* (2023), as well as the film *The History of Sound* (2025). On stage he has appeared at theatres including New York Theater Workshop, the Mint Theater Company and the Guthrie Theater.

Schantz is a co-founder of Wheelhouse Theater Company and has held faculty positions at the University at Albany and other institutions. He has also worked as a director and consulting producer.
