## Biography

Michael Seresin is a New Zealand cinematographer born on 17 July 1942 in Wellington. He has worked extensively in film, including as director of photography on *Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban* (2004) and *Dawn of the Planet of the Apes* (2014).

Seresin is noted for collaborations with director Alan Parker. He also directed the 1988 film *Homeboy*. In addition to his film work, he founded the Seresin Estate winery in Marlborough in 1992; the property was later sold in 2018. He holds the ONZM honour.
