Chuan-cheng Tao is a Taiwanese actor, also credited as Michael Tao. He was born on 25 February 1946 in Taiwan.

He is known for his supporting role as Dada in Edward Yang's film *Yi Yi* (2000). Tao has appeared in numerous Taiwanese television series, including as Ho Cheng-Tang in *Autumn's Concerto* (2009–2010) and Wang Bai-Fu in *Déjà vu* (2019). His other credits include the defence secretary in *Black & White Episode 1: The Dawn of Assault* (2012) and supporting parts in films such as *Weekend in Taipei* (2024).

Tao has been married to Hsiao-Ping Ying since 1970 and they have three children.
