## Biography

Michael Tronick is an American film editor. He has edited more than 25 feature films, with credits including *Days of Thunder* (1990), *Scent of a Woman* (1992) and *True Romance* (1993).

Tronick's other editing work includes *Meet Joe Black* (1998), *Mr. & Mrs. Smith* (2005), *2 Guns* (2013), *Straight Outta Compton* (2015), *Suicide Squad* (2016), *Bright* (2017) and *Tomb Raider* (2018). He has also worked as an additional editor on films such as *Iron Man* (2008).

He received American Cinema Editors Eddie Award nominations for *Scent of a Woman* (1992) and *Hairspray* (2007). Since 2012 he has served on the board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Editors Branch and is a member of its Science and Technology Council. He is also a member of the American Cinema Editors.
