Michael Vartan is a French-American actor. He was born on 27 November 1968 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.

Vartan is best known for portraying CIA agent Michael Vaughn in the ABC series *Alias* (2001–2006). His other television roles include appearances in *Friends* (1997), *Ally McBeal* (2000), *Hawthorne* and *Bates Motel*. Film credits include *Never Been Kissed* (1999), *One Hour Photo* (2002), *Monster-in-Law* (2005) and *Colombiana* (2011). He has also appeared in *The Mists of Avalon* (2001) as Lancelot.

Vartan began his career in French and Italian films in the early 1990s. He moved to the United States as a teenager and has worked primarily in American productions since then.
