## Biography

Michal 'Hali' Zebede is an American writer, producer and director. She made her screenwriting debut as co-writer of the 2014 film *The Humbling*, a Philip Roth adaptation directed by Barry Levinson and starring Al Pacino and Greta Gerwig.

Zebede has written for television series including *Castle* (2009), on which she served as story editor and writer for twelve episodes in 2015–2016, *Devious Maids* (2014) and the *Party of Five* reboot (2020). She created and directed the docuseries *ASPIREist* (2016–2017), which won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Innovation.
