## Biography

Michel Robin (13 November 1930 – 18 November 2020) was a French stage, film and television actor. Born in Reims, he trained at the École Charles Dullin and began his career in the late 1950s with the company of Roger Planchon near Lyon, later joining the Renaud-Barrault company in Paris. He became a sociétaire of the Comédie-Française in 1997 and remained associated with the company until 2010.

Robin appeared in more than 120 films between 1966 and 2018. He is known for supporting roles in *Amélie* (2001) as Mr Collignon, *A Very Long Engagement* (2004) as the old man on the battlefield, and the voice of the adult Champion in *The Triplets of Belleville* (2003). Other credits include *The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob* (1973), *La Chèvre* (1981) and *Farewell, My Queen* (2012). He received the Molière Award for Best Supporting Actor.
