## Biography

Michelle Cole, also credited as Michelle R. Cole, is an American costume designer working primarily in television. Her credits include the pilot episode of the series *Grimm* (2011), as well as extensive work on *In Living Color* (1990–1994), *black-ish* (2014–2022) and its spin-off *Grown-ish* (2019–2024). She has also designed costumes for films including *You People* (2023), *Blankman* (1994) and *Mo' Money* (1992).

Cole studied clothing and textiles at Eastern Kentucky University. She began her career in commercials before her first major television role on *In Living Color*. She has received nine Primetime Emmy nominations for her work and was awarded the Career Achievement Award by the Costume Designers Guild.
