## Biography

Mike Berry (born Michael Hubert Bourne) was an English singer and actor. He appeared as Mr. Spooner in the BBC sitcom *Are You Being Served?* from 1981 to 1985, replacing Trevor Bannister's Mr. Lucas as the junior sales assistant.

Berry began his career as a singer in the early 1960s with the group Mike Berry and the Outlaws, achieving UK top-ten hits with "Don't You Think It's Time" (1963) and "The Sunshine of Your Smile" (1980). His acting roles included Mr. Peters in the children's series *Worzel Gummidge* (1979–1981). He died on 11 April 2025.
