## Biography

Mike Molloy is an Australian cinematographer. Born in Sydney on 5 January 1940, he began working in the film industry in 1958 as a camera assistant at Cinesound Productions. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1967 and worked as a camera operator on films including *Performance* (1970), *A Clockwork Orange* (1971), *Walkabout* (1971) and *Barry Lyndon* (1975).

Molloy returned to Australia and made his debut as director of photography on *Mad Dog Morgan* (1975). His subsequent credits as cinematographer include *The Shout* (1978), *The Hit* (1984), *Scandal* (1989), *Bliss* (1997), *All the Little Animals* (1998) and *Shiner* (2000). He was inducted into the Australian Cinematographers Society Hall of Fame in 2013.
