Born on 31 October 1926 in Washington, District of Columbia, he appeared in films including *Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song* (1971), *The Black 6* (1973) and *The Candy Tangerine Man* (1975). He was also credited under the name Eastman Price.

His other acting credits include uncredited roles in *Valley of the Dolls* (1967), *Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here* (1969) and *The Way We Were* (1973). Angel wrote or co-wrote several films such as *Psychic Killer* (1975) and *The Love Butcher* (1975), on which he also worked as a director. He died on 21 April 2001 in Los Angeles, California.
