## Biography

Mikel Cee Karlsson is a Swedish film director, editor, writer and cinematographer. Born in Varberg in 1977, he graduated from the School of Photography and Film at Gothenburg University in 2005. He is a co-owner of the production company Plattform Produktion alongside Ruben Östlund and Erik Hemmendorff.

Karlsson has directed four feature-length documentaries: *Greetings from the Woods* (2009), *The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of José González* (2010), *Fraemling* (2019) and *A Tiger in Paradise* (2023). He edited *Triangle of Sadness* (2022), on which he also served as second unit director, and has directed numerous music videos for artists including Fever Ray, José González and Junip. He previously worked as a skateboarder, photographer and filmmaker.
