## Biography

Mikhail Romadin was a Russian production designer and costume designer. He graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) and began his film career in the mid-1960s.

Romadin served as production designer on Andrei Konchalovsky's *The First Teacher* (1965), for which he also designed costumes, *Istoriya Asi Klyachinoy, kotoraya lyubila, da ne vyshla zamuzh* (1966) and *A Nest of Gentry* (1969). He was production designer on Andrei Tarkovsky's *Solaris* (1972). Romadin also worked as a painter and book illustrator. He died in Moscow in 2012.
