## Biography

Mildred Lewis was a producer and writer. She frequently collaborated with her husband, producer Edward Lewis, on films and screenplays from the late 1940s onwards.

Her credits include executive producer on *Harold and Maude* (1971), producer and co-writer on *Brothers* (1977), and producer on *Missing* (1982). The latter earned the Lewises a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Picture. She also wrote the screenplay for *The Lovable Cheat* (1949) with her husband.

Lewis died on 7 April 2019 in Los Angeles.
