## Biography

Milo Anderson was an American costume designer. Born on 9 May 1910, he began working in the industry in the early 1930s after gaining experience at Western Costume while still at school. He briefly worked at United Artists before joining Warner Bros. in 1934, where he remained for nearly two decades and collaborated with Orry-Kelly.

Anderson designed costumes for numerous Warner Bros. productions, including *Captain Blood* (1935), *The Adventures of Robin Hood* (1938), *The Roaring Twenties* (1939), *High Sierra* (1941), *Yankee Doodle Dandy* (1942), *To Have and Have Not* (1944), *Mildred Pierce* (1945) and *Stage Fright* (1950). For *The Adventures of Robin Hood* he created a lightweight substitute for chain mail using painted rope to reduce noise. He later taught costume design and worked in interior design.
