## Biography

Mingtang Lai is a Taiwanese screenwriter and assistant director. He worked as an assistant director and art director on Edward Yang’s *The Terrorizers* (1986) and contributed to the screenplay of *A Brighter Summer Day* (1991) alongside Yang, Hung Hung and Yang Shunqing. He is also credited as a writer on *Burning Snow* (1987).
