## Biography

Mirco Garrone is an Italian film editor. Born in Rome on 9 August 1956, he graduated in 1980 from the State Institute for Cinematography and Television as a film editor. He began his career as an assistant editor before making his debut as editor on Marco Bellocchio’s *Enrico IV* (1984).

Garrone has edited numerous films, including several by Nanni Moretti such as *Bianca* (1984), *The Mass Is Ended* (1985), *Palombella rossa* (1989) and *Caro diario* (1993). He has worked frequently with Daniele Luchetti and Carlo Mazzacurati. He received multiple David di Donatello nominations for best editing and won the award, along with the Nastro d’Argento and Ciak d’Oro, for *My Brother Is an Only Child* (2007).
