Miriam Newhouse is a Canadian actress whose screen credits include the role of Mrs. Bookman in the film *Dead Ringers* (1988). She also appeared in the television series *War of the Worlds* (1988) as Ellen and in the film *Prairie Women* (1987) as Violet McNaughton.

Newhouse has worked in theatre, film, radio and television across Canada and internationally. She is the co-author, with Peter Messaline, of *The Actor's Survival Kit*, a guide to the acting profession.
