In *Decalogue V* (1989), Mirosław Baka holds our attention on Jacek Łazar without making his unpleasantness entertaining. Mirosław Baka is a Polish actor. He was born on 15 December 1963 in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and graduated from the National Theatre School in Wrocław in 1989. He has been a member of the ensemble at the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk since the late 1980s.

Baka’s breakthrough came while still a student with the role of Jacek Łazar in Krzysztof Kieślowski’s *Krótki film o zabijaniu* (1987) and its television version *Decalogue V* (1988). He has since appeared in numerous films and television series, including *Chłopaki nie płaczą* (2000), *Jack Strong* (2014), *The Peasants* (2023) and *Kill Me If You Dare* (2024). He received awards for his performance in the Kieślowski film and a Grand Prix for best male performance at the 60th Kalisz Theatrical Meetings in 2020.
