Modhu Bose (also credited as Madhu Bose or Modhu Basu) was an Indian film director and actor. Born on 12 February 1900 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India, he died on 25 September 1969 in Calcutta. He began in cinema as an assistant and actor, appearing as King Sohat's henchman Kirkbar in the 1929 silent film *A Throw of Dice*.

Bose directed around twenty films between the 1930s and 1960s. His credits include *Alibaba* (1937), in which he also acted, *The Court Dancer: Raj Nartaki* (1941), *Michael Madhusudhan* (1950) and *Bireswar Vivekananda* (1956). He was married to actress Sadhana Bose.
