## Biography

Molly Malene Stensgaard is a Danish film editor. She graduated from the editing programme at the Danish Film School in 1993.

Stensgaard has edited several films directed by Lars von Trier, beginning with episodes of the television series *The Kingdom* (1994) and including *The Idiots* (1998), *Dancer in the Dark* (2000), *Dogville* (2003), *Manderlay* (2005), *Melancholia* (2011), *Nymphomaniac: Vol. I* (2013), *Nymphomaniac: Vol. II* (2013) and *The House That Jack Built* (2018). She has also edited *Land of Mine* (2015) and other features, and worked in documentary.

In 2015 she received the Bodil Prize. She served as a feature film consultant at the Danish Film Institute from 2006 to 2010.
