## Biography

Monica Collingwood (1908–1989) was an American film editor. She began her credited career in feature films in 1947, working on *The Secret Life of Walter Mitty* and *The Bishop's Wife*, both for Samuel Goldwyn Productions.

Collingwood received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for her work on *The Bishop's Wife* (1947). She later edited episodes of television series including *The Whistler* (1954–1955), *Fury* (1956–1959) and *Lassie* (1959–1973), as well as feature films such as *Fangs of the Wild* (1954) and *Lassie's Great Adventure* (1963). She was married to fellow editor Willard Nico from 1927 until his death in 1967.
