Monika von Zallinger is an Austrian costume and production designer who has also worked as an actress. Born in Munich in 1940, she grew up in Salzburg and Vienna, studied at the Graphische Akademie in Munich, and began her career assisting at the Bavarian State Opera before taking positions at theatres including the Salzburg Landestheater and Staatstheater Braunschweig.

She has designed costumes and sets for major venues such as the Burgtheater and Volksoper in Vienna, the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, and international stages. Her sole screen acting credit is as Eva in Michael Haneke's *Funny Games* (1997).
