## Biography

Monique Prim is a French film editor. She began her career in the early 1970s as an assistant editor on films including *The Mother and the Whore* (1973), *Don't Touch the White Woman!* (1974), *The Beast* (1975) and *The Big Feast* (1973). She worked as lead editor from 1976 onwards.

Prim collaborated with director Jean-Jacques Beineix on several films. She co-edited his debut feature *Diva* (1981) with Marie-Josèphe Yoyotte, and edited *The Moon in the Gutter* (1983) and *Betty Blue* (1986). She received a César Award nomination for Best Editing for *Betty Blue* in 1987. Her other editing credits include *La passerelle* (1988), *Tant qu'il y aura des femmes* (1987), *Sous les pieds des femmes* (1997), *Passeurs de rêves* (2000) and *Poil de carotte* (2003).

Born on 3 November 1947, Prim continued working on feature films, shorts and television productions until at least 2006.
