## Biography

Moon So-ri is a South Korean actress and filmmaker. Born on 2 July 1974 in Busan, she studied education at Sungkyunkwan University and began her career on stage with the theatre company Hangang. She made her feature film debut in Lee Chang-dong's *Peppermint Candy* (2000).

Her performance as a woman with cerebral palsy in *Oasis* (2002) brought international recognition and the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice Film Festival. She has appeared in films including *A Good Lawyer's Wife* (2003), *The Handmaiden* (2016) as Hideko's aunt, and *Little Forest* (2018), as well as television series such as *Hellbound* (2021) and *When Life Gives You Tangerines* (2025). Moon has also directed and written films, and is married to director Jang Joon-hwan.
