## Biography

Morris Barry (9 February 1918 – 20 November 2000) was an English television director, producer and actor. He worked extensively for the BBC from the late 1950s, directing and producing episodes of series including Compact, Z-Cars and Angels.

Barry directed three Doctor Who serials during the Patrick Troughton era: The Moonbase (1967), The Tomb of the Cybermen (1967) and The Dominators (1968). He later produced the BBC dramatisation of Poldark. In the late 1970s he also took acting roles, including in Doctor Who story The Creature from the Pit (1979) and episodes of Blake's 7, Are You Being Served? and All Creatures Great and Small.
