## Biography

Morten Køhlert is a Danish film and television director. Born on 11 December 1961 in Denmark, he worked as a musician, singer, journalist and television producer before graduating from the National Film School of Denmark in 1995.

His graduation short *Fastelavnsfesten* (1995) received special honours at the Bodil awards. He made his feature debut with *Under overfladen* (1999) and directed the family film *Little Big Girl* (*Ulvepigen Tinke*, 2002), which screened at international festivals and won awards including at Giffoni and Toronto.

Køhlert has directed episodes of Danish television series including *Forsvar* (2003–2004), twenty episodes of *Absalons hemmelighed* (2006), one episode of *The Killing* (2007), and all four episodes of the miniseries *Hemmeligheden* (2012).
