## Biography

Morten Suurballe is a Danish actor. Born on 8 March 1955 in Copenhagen, he graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 1978 and has been a member of the Royal Danish Theatre since 1992.

He is best known for portraying Detective Chief Inspector Lennart Brix across the three series of the Danish crime drama *The Killing* (2007–2012). Other notable television roles include Sigvard in *Vikings* (2014) and Bjørn in *The Bridge* (2011). Film appearances include *Riders of Justice* (2020) and *The Shadow in My Eye* (2021).

In 2013 Suurballe was appointed Knight of the First Class of the Order of the Dannebrog.
