## Biography

Morton Haack (26 June 1924 – 22 March 1987) was an American costume designer. He began working in film in the late 1950s and received three Academy Award nominations for Best Costume Design: for *The Unsinkable Molly Brown* (1964), *Planet of the Apes* (1968) and *What's the Matter with Helen?* (1971).

Haack is best known for his work on the *Planet of the Apes* series, designing costumes for *Planet of the Apes* (1968), *Beneath the Planet of the Apes* (1970), *Conquest of the Planet of the Apes* (1972) and *Battle for the Planet of the Apes* (1973). His other film credits include *Please Don't Eat the Daisies* (1960), *Come September* (1961), *Walk Don't Run* (1966) and *Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell* (1968). He also worked as a production designer on *Massacre in Rome* (1973).
