Moshe Kasher is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor. He was born on 6 July 1979 in Queens, New York, and moved to Oakland, California, as a baby. He studied theatre at community college in the Bay Area before transferring to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated with a degree in religious studies and a minor in Jewish studies.

Kasher has written for television series including *Betty* (2020), for which he received writing credits, and *Another Period* (2015–2018). His acting roles include appearances in *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*, *Shameless*, *The Good Place*, *Curb Your Enthusiasm*, *Transparent* (as Moshe Pfefferman) and *The Pitt* (as Jacob Samuel). He is the author of the 2012 memoir *Kasher in the Rye*.

He has been married to comedian Natasha Leggero since 2015 and they have one child. Kasher co-hosts the podcast *The Endless Honeymoon* with Leggero.
