## Biography

Murilo Hauser is a Brazilian screenwriter. He co-wrote the screenplay for *I'm Still Here* (2024) with Heitor Lorega, based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's memoir; the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where Hauser and Lorega won the Best Screenplay award.

Hauser previously wrote the screenplay for *Invisible Life* (2019), directed by Karim Aïnouz. He has also contributed to *Mariner of the Mountains* (2021) and served as collaborating writer on *The Blue Trail* (2025). Hauser completed an MFA in screenwriting for film and television at the University of Southern California as a CAPES/Fulbright scholar.
