## Biography

Nadim Carlsen is a Danish cinematographer. He graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 2011 and is a member of the Danish Society of Cinematographers (DFF).

Carlsen has worked frequently with directors Ali Abbasi and Isabella Eklöf. His credits include *Border* (2018) and *Holy Spider* (2022) for Abbasi, and *Holiday* (2018) and *Kalak* (2023) for Eklöf. He served as director of photography on episodes 8 and 9 of the HBO series *The Last of Us* (2023), also directed by Abbasi. Other notable credits include *What Will People Say* (2017), *Shelley* (2016) and *Locust* (2024).

*Border* won the Un Certain Regard award at Cannes. Carlsen received the Best Cinematography prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival for *Kalak*.
