Nana Mensah is a Ghanaian-American actress, writer and director. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and attended the Loomis Chaffee School before earning a BA in French and sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. She moved to New York City in 2009 to pursue acting after working in the legal field.

Mensah is known for recurring roles in television series including *13 Reasons Why* (2019–2020) as Amara Achola, *New Amsterdam* (2018–2019) as Dr Camila Candelario, *The Chair* (2021) as Yaz McKay, and *The Diplomat* (2023–) as Billie Appiah. She wrote, directed and starred in the feature film *Queen of Glory* (2021), which premiered at Tribeca.
