## Biography

Nancy Coleman (1912–2000) was an American actress who worked in film, stage, television and radio. She began her career in radio in the mid-1930s and made her Broadway debut in the late 1930s, appearing in productions including *Liberty Jones* (1941).

After moving to Hollywood, she signed with Warner Bros. and made her film debut in *Dangerously They Live* (1941). She played Louise Gordon in *Kings Row* (1942) and Katja in *Edge of Darkness* (1943). Other film roles include *The Gay Sisters* (1942), *In Our Time* (1944) and *Devotion* (1946).

Coleman returned to stage work with credits such as *The Sacred Flame* (1952) and *The Desperate Hours* (1955), and later made guest appearances on television.
